Director


She graduated from the Faculty of Geography and Regional Studies at the University of Warsaw with a Master's degree in Cartography. While working for the Stanisław Leszczycki Institute of Geography and Spatial Organization (Polish Academy of Sciences) and for the Institute of Geodesy and Cartography, she perfected her skills in acquiring and analyzing environmental information. Her career in the UNEP/GRID- Centre Warsaw began in 1992. Since 2008 she has been the Director of the Centre.

Piotr Mikołajczyk holds a PhD in natural sciences. He graduated from the Faculty of Biology at the University of Warsaw, specializing in insect physiology. Since 2001 he has been working for the UNEP/GRID-Warsaw Center. He is primarily engaged in projects and tasks devoted to the conservation and sustainable management of biodiversity and sustainable development.

She carries out geoinformation projects devoted to environmental protection and management. She cooperates with the public administration in the area of the European INSPIRE Directive provisions implementation.

He specializes in designing and creating GIS systems and applications as well as UML modeling (in the field of application schemas and spatial databases modeling).

Spatial planning

She graduated from the Faculty of Geography and Regional Studies at the University of Warsaw in the fields of tourism geography and spatial management. She has been working at UNEP/GRID-Warsaw Centre since 2008, when she combined the job with studying.
She participates in the projects related to the implementation of the INSPIRE directive, previously she was an active coordinator of logistics activities in the INSPIRE Academy and INSPIRE Training projects. She was involved in the implementation of the Karpaty Łączą project, as well as in dissemination of eco-education in projects: "Navigation in a backpack" or "Virtual Kampinos National Park".

Smart Sustainable Cities Programme

Krzysztof graduated from English Philology at the University of Warsaw. Then, he obtained a master's degree from the Warsaw School of Economics, completing the inter-faculty specialization "Eco-innovations in the Urban Regeneration Projects". He also holds a post-graduate diploma in "Environmental Protection Management in the Organization", completed at the Lodz University of Technology. He gained professional experience, among others, in the British Polish Chamber of Commerce and in Megabit, company dealing with IT solutions for network operators (e.g. water supply companies). His work at the UNEP/GRID-Warsaw Centre is related with the topic of sustainable development in cities.

Anna graduated from Veterinary Faculty of the University of Life and Science (SGGW) in Warsaw. She has been with the UNEP/GRID-Warsaw Centre since 2007 running bank accounts and cash flow, supervising bank account correct payment settlements, and maintaining the Centre's financial records. She is also in charge of office administration.
