Doctor of Medical Sciences Paulina Karwowska

She received a doctor's degree from the Medical University of Warsaw and a Master's degree in Public Health from the Jagiellonian University in Kraków. She also completed the National School of Public Administration in Warsaw and the post-graduate studies in Health Care Management at the Warsaw School of Economics. She worked as a doctor at the Central Clinical Hospital of the Medical Academy in Warsaw and in the Department of Hospital Nutrition at the Institute of Food and Nutrition in Warsaw. Moreover, she worked for the Regional Mazovian Sickness Insurance Fund. Since 2003 she has been the Director of the WHO Office in Poland.
