On Wednesday, April 17 2019, the UNEP/GRID-Warsaw team participated in the LIFE 2019 Information Day. This event was an opportunity to present the activities that UNEP/GRID-Warsaw is carrying out as a part of the "LIFE Carpathians Unite. Green Infrastructure" project.

The Information Day was organised in the MsMermaid conference center in Warsaw by the National Fund for Environmental Protection and Water Management. The event brought together the LIFE Program beneficiaries, who shared experiences presenting the co-financed projects in the demonstration zone.

Though, the central event of the Information Day was a conference whose sessions were dedicated to current topics in the field of environmental protection: effective resource management, air quality, and reducing human impact on the climate.

The conference was opened by the Minister for the Environment, Mr. Henryk Kowalczyk. The accompanying speeches were given by, among others, the Minister of Investment and Development, Mr. Jerzy Kwieciński and, on behalf of the European Commission, Mr. Guido de Wilt, DG ENVIRONMENT.
